Writing this book has been a profound experience. I would love for my readers to take away the fact that dreams and goals to not have an expiration date. If you always wanted to compete at Miss America, but never had the chance...no matter what your age, it is NOT too late!

I have been increasing my awareness of social and economic issues people are facing all over the world. In my experience, most of these issues are the result of living a world where too many of us only care about ourselves. We need to advocate for equality for all to make a difference in the life of many people who are living inside a circle of oppression, with no way out.
~What are some ways you are helping to bring this forward in the world?
In an effort to advocate for social and economic justice, I started a Master of Social Work in February 2019 at Walden University. My goal is to work as a mental health professional for 5 years. Once I obtain enough experience, I plan to open a nonprofit mental health clinic in El Paso, TX. I was inspired by to return to school by observing the suffering many people are experiencing in my community.
