under a down comforter? Receiving consolation of reassuring words while wrapped in a reassuring hug? A long soak in a hot tub with lots of bubbles?

Consider what gives you joy. Does it show up similar to the same way comfort does for you? Spending quality time with family and friend? Escaping in the pages of a great book? Exploring some exotic location on a travel adventure?

The critical thing to remember here is that you can make a point to do one of those things every. Not just during the holidays, but all year long day and approach the activity with childlike wonder as if you have never experienced it before.

I realize this could be daunting to make such a shift in attitude.

And I am the first to admit that I am not always “Mary Sunshine.” I do, however, know that when I make the effort to write things down in my journal, they have a better chance of happening. And that is why I suggest to you to take five minutes to write down your intentions for the holidays. Perhaps take five minutes every day to write your intentions for the day and see how that strengthens your focus for the day. And I’d suggest reviewing what you wrote in the morning at the end of the day. Writing things down is

the simplest way I’ve found to not only change your perspective, and it also gives you and opportunity to identify and follow your dreams.

Wishing you love, light and happiness and childlike wonder today and every day.
