5. Tweak as needed... and repeat.

I believe it’s important to take a multi-media approach so that you are connecting with people in multiple way…supporting the way they connect and receive information. Some are more audio based, visual, linear in their thinking, or non-linear. The more ways we can connect with people, the more they like, know, and trust us. I also believe it’s important to be consistent….so continue doing the things that are working well and add to them one step at a time. Michelle, I look forward to seeing you discover all the ways you can reach your people effectively and powerfully. Question 2:

Dear Rebecca, As a Global Visibility Influencer, I understand the fear that can arise as you step into greater Visibility. What do you do to overcome any fear you may have? ~Cynthia Stott, Global Visibility Influencer

Dear Cynthia, thank you for your question.

I believe we will frequently feel fear when we are stretched out of our comfort zone…so it isn’t necessarily something we need to overcome, but discover how to lean in to it and walk through. Recognizing fear is a feeling and an indicator we are stepping outside our comfort zone, not an indicator that we are in mortal danger. Perhaps even see it as a good sign that we are growing and moving into new spaces. Because it is critical if we want to reach people we haven’t reached yet, then we need to be willing to show up and share in spaces we haven’t shared before. To support us in stepping through our fear, I find tapping into our why can be powerfully motivating. When I face my fear here are the steps I go through to walk through it: 1. Stop. Pause. And explore what I’m afraid of. 2. Honor the feeling, but then explore why it’s important to me that I step through it…that I don’t the feeling of fear stop me. 3. I then ask, how can I set myself up for success in this situation. What can I do to help me feel safer and supported as I step into this new space? Is it getting support? Or giving myself permission to leave if I need to? 4. Then, I take action and lean in, and step forward.

I find every time I survive stepping into a new level of visibility, my muscles grow stronger…my wings gains strength and eventually I’m able to soar in that space and then discover another level of visibility that can be stepping into. Each step prepares you for the next and you get to build the muscles and strength for more visibility on the journey…on step at a time. Cynthia, I look forward to seeing you Step Forward and SHINE!
