A Job Opportunity That Changed My Life:
I interviewed for this job just to help make money to pay for school but what I found was a brand new career path that I had not imagined. I did like teaching children but what I did not like was to make them stay after school or giving any kind of reprimand. This was a job to work in the computer industry where I would learn new technology and then teach it to adults whose companies were paying for them to attend and pay attention.
I was constantly learning new things and then teaching others. I was very happy in that position and I was so successful in teaching, training and doing demos for the sales reps that I was later asked to go into a sales position. That sounded frightening to me but my boss saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself and offered me the security that if I did not like sales, I could still have my former job back. As it turned out, I was very successful and like to mentor others when given the opportunity.
TIP: Be open of possible new doors that may open exciting opportunities for you that you would never have imagined.
