Meet Dr. James Glenn: Professor, Mentor, and Author
We hope you enjoy this chance to "meet" Jim. He resides in the Washington D.C. area where he has lived, worked, for most of his life, holds a DBA in Finance, an MBA in Finance, and a BSBA in finance. Dr. Glenn worked in the brokerage industry for 15 years, the banking industry for 10 years, and has been in academia teaching, mentoring, and in program and curriculum development for 17 years.
He brings some of that expertise to bear in his new book. Listen in as we talk with him about his purpose and passions...
~Share something you are passionate about:
I am passionate about improving the lives of working Americans, who live on EARNED income, not UNEARNED income. There are many areas in America that need improving in my opinion, including but not limited to, the political system, the banking system, the health care system, the education system, and the military industrial complex. All of these sectors of our economy are in desperate need of repair in my opinion, and soon. I am passionate about reducing inequality and increasing social justice and economic fairness.
~What are some ways you are helping to bring this forward in the world?
I try and do this through my writing, teaching and philanthropic activities. Improving the lives of my students brings me great satisfaction. A good education is the great leveler in an information age economy, and working with my students closely as a dissertation mentor and teacher provides me an opportunity to improve the lives of all my students, and give them a fighting chance in a very unfair economic system.

~What are 1-3 tips you can give our reader today to help them step forward in their life powerfully?
1. Not to sound trite, buy, you have to have a dream to have a dream come true.
2. Think BIG, push your boundaries, and challenge yourself. A mans (or womans) reach should exceed their grasp. What the mind can believe, you can achieve.
~Will you share a client success story?
I’d love to. A client of mine has a sailboat and has about 15,000 a month worth of expenses in retirement. Him and his wife love traveling, spending time with their children and being on their boat. I was able to create income streams from their investments that could possibly last their lifetime and allow them to have the freedom and flexibility to choose how they want to live their lives.
