the world who hunger for a deep communion with their own beingness and for embodying their wholeness.

~Describe something our readers today can look forward to discovering in your book, Deep Living with the Enneagram: Recovering Your True Nature (Revised and Updated):

Contrary to a culture that constantly provides messages about who we are and how we are supposed to be, this book busts the myth that there is something wrong with you, something that needs to be fixed. You’ll see over and over in this book why a focus on ‘doing something to make yourself better’ is often counterproductive, disrupting access to your deeper sources of guidance and limiting your ability to live your uniquely authentic, empowered life.

Deep living’s radically spacious approach to change invites you to ‘turn toward yourself’ with presence, compassion, courage, curiosity and trust..and to allow your whole being into your life.

~What are 1-3 tips you can give our reader today to help them step forward in their life powerfully?

The inner critic is one of the greatest sources of inner pain and a powerful feeder of procrastination on following through on what is most important to you. The closer you are to manifesting your vision, the more likely the inner critic is to go full-throttle, distracting you from taking your next step. Its evaluative nature has no validity for adults. While it can feel like the voice of God, it is not. As you recognize it showing up, call it out, “Oh, this is ‘it,” take a few deep breaths, and return to your intended focus immediately. Deep Living’s Chapter 17 focuses on unhooking from the inner critic.

~Will you share a client success story?

A client with a long-established and admired professional practice came to me as she was about to close her practice. She had no idea what she wanted to do, but was clear that she was tired of taking care of everyone at her own expense. She was exhausted. Through turning her attention back to herself, developing the capacity to reside in her belly center, opening to her spacious heart and allowing the mind to quiet (these are called the three centers of intelligence), she is deeply engaged in what she loves, including writing, traveling, and is a sought-after teacher.

~Any final thought, share, or idea that you would like to share with our readers today?

People can and do transform their relationships with themselves, becoming more at ease and more accepting of themselves, free to make life-affirming choices, living with purpose, and realizing that there is nothing wrong with them. This is the start of living deeply!

Through the presence-based approach to the Enneagram that I use in Deep Living, we see that there are nine unique lens through which people experience themselves and the world around them. And for each of these unique lenses, there is a unique path of transformation. One path does not fit all. Discover your path and experience how your life changes.
