outside your comfort zone. It would be too soon to determine if it's your way of reaching your people. Frequently it is fear. Statements like “I don’t know how” or “This makes me uncomfortable” are genuine feelings but usually indicate some kind of resistance, not that it isn’t your way of connecting.
I would add, that it is important to take one step at a time and play to your strengths. So, take time to explore your strengths and discover where are the people that you are trying to reach, and then try a media that connects with them. It is about where your people are, not necessarily your comfort zone. Be willing to try new platforms, new mediums, and other new ways of reaching the people who need exactly what you have to offer them. Be willing to try new things. Maybe you’ll discover that you thrive in this new way of connecting. Be willing to go where your people and your future people are. Don’t just stick to the familiar path of where you’ve already been. Perhaps, tap into someone who has experience in a variety of platforms or even owns a variety of platforms and ways of reaching others. You could learn from him/her and even try some of their platforms as you are discovering your additional ways of reaching others. I look forward to seeing you SHINE as you reach out to your existing people as well as your additional people! That is the key so that you can stop being the best kept secret and start shining so that your people can see, hear, and experience you!
