~Describe something our readers today can look forward to discovering in your book, Unstoppable Teens: A Parent and Teen Guide to Teen Empowerment, Fulfillment and Achievement:

Teens can look forward to growing as leaders in their community with fun and interactive exercises, suggested breakthrough actions, and proven qualities to effectively lead more independent lives. Teens will find ways to explore who you are, gain new ideas to increase your self-esteem, learn how you could be more assertive, and discover how you could live a more fulfilling life in and out of school. Parents will learn the science behind how teens think and practical tips to support your teen in being a stronger leader in school, the community, and the world.

~What are 1-3 tips you can give our reader today to help them step forward in their life powerfully?

1. Work with an Expert - Many teens will listen

to other adults/experts differently than they listen to their parents.

2. Improve Grades - Most schools treat teens as a group as opposed to unique individuals. Make sure your teen has a customized strategy for studying.

3. Foster Self-Esteem - Help your teen to feel lovable, worthy, and good enough.

~Will you share a client success story?

“Jake” is a great illustration of our work with teens. Jake was failing his classes and teachers labeled him “a behavior problem.” Within three months, Jake received “Student of the Month for Most Improved.” Within six months, he was on the Honor Roll and he maintained this status until the end of the school year. His critical thinking had improved in addition to his self-esteem and self-initiative to lead a proactive life. The following year, he was prepping for college by taking Advanced Placement courses. He was able to navigate through school and life with greater ease, joy, and confidence.

~What piece of advice can you share today to empower our readers to SHINE?

Give yourself permission to make mistakes. By allowing for mistakes, you open yourself to taking healthy risks which increases self-esteem, confidence and opportunities. You can also show your teen that it is okay for them to make mistakes. Tell your teen that even if their risks didn’t yield the expected results right away, they have not failed. Encourage them to be compassionate with themselves. Let your teen know that discovering what actions will create their desired results is a process. Following these steps will support you and your teen to become Unstoppable!
