Celebrating with Bestselling Author Joseph Luckett

St. Charles Native Overcomes Adversity, Launches #1 International Best Seller, and Becomes the First African American to get the "Key to the City"

One of our bestselling authors, Joseph Luckett, has been a wild ride since the launch of his powerful book, Zero to 100. Zero to 100 is one of the only business networking books in the world supported by a study! It also happens to be the first, if not the only, book bringing a universal and inclusive approach to business networking. We were not surprised when it became a #1 International Best Seller within 43 hours of launch.

Earlier this summer his wife, Carol, organized an unboxing event to see the book for the very first time. To build anticipation, she hid most of the details including the guest list from Joseph. “All I was told was show up, be sharp as a tack, and BE Joseph,” Joseph laughed..

According to Jopeph, one of the MAJOR surprises was the attendance of the mayor of St. Charles, Missouri, Dan Borgmeyer. Of course, Joseph and Carol invited him to share some words, at which point he continued the surprise by presenting Joseph with "The Key to the City of St Charles!”

“I am beyond honored to receive such a prestigious award and to be the FIRST African American in the 250 years of history of St. Charles to receive a key to the city,” Jospeh said. “Thank you so much Mayor Dan Borgmeyer for this absolutely prestigious award. I'm truly humbled!”

Carol and Jospeh were invited on Friday, June 18th for a photoshoot with the mayor’s office. Afterwards, Joseph asked the mayor how they could better serve the city. In response, the mayor invited Jospeh to serve on their HR board to consult on how to create a more diverse community. Joseph sees it as an ongoing opportunity to impact the city he loves so dearly.

“The success of the book and this key is nothing more than a direct reflection of each person I have ever met,” he reflected. “If I can do it, you can too. And I’ll be your biggest fan!”
