Michel Chikwanine’s Biography
Michel was a former child soldier and he has already experienced and overcame the pain and struggles. Michel grew up in the scary terror of the war of Africa. He saw the torture of his dad, who was tortured for his political beliefs, and his mother who was raped and got tortured too. Many parts of Michel’s childhood was filled with the death of the war that took 5.8 million people’s lives, including his father’s. He was forced to leave his home as a refugee at 11. Michel has travelled to many different countries in Africa, and he witnessed the problems facing Africa, but he also discovered the beautiful people and communities. Today, Michel is a motivational speaker and he addressed speeches across North America. He has spoken to over 100,000 people and he spoke with other great people such as Craig and Marc Kielburger, Dr. Jane Goodall, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Mia Farrow and Paul Martin. Michel leaves the stage with a new perspective on life, a sense of hope on social responsibility and a desire for change. For the better.
