Primary Groups: they are small groups, your best friends and the closer people you have. They give you security, they help you emotionally and financially.

Secondary Groups: This groups are larger, they are not that personal and they are short term. There is a weak emotional ties between people.

Group Conformity: Groups have a significant degree of influence over people“s attitudes and actions. Pressures to conform to group desires.

Groupthink: All members of a group are impelled, by loyalty and trust, to accept. Perception that there is only one correct answer, it is potentially dangerous.

Reference Groups: Reactions from family and friends are important indicators like Interracial dating, changing jobs or moving away,

Ingroups and Outgroups: They foster loyalty but also generate conflict.

- Ingroups: social group toward which members feel respect and loyalty.

- Outgroups: Social group toward which a person feels a sense of competition or opposition.
