WHEN
AND
WHERE
TO VISIT
The lodging options around the
park are many, from Safari Camps
to Lodges that serve to fit all budgets
and meet all desired amenities. It
is ideal to visit the park during the
dry season, that runs from June to
October, as parts of the park are
inaccessible from November through
to April, the wetter months of the
year. The Busanga Plains area is
strictly only accessible from early July
until early November as this area is a
floodplain. It is good to take note of
the camps in the central/northern part
of the park such as Mukambi Lodge,
Mayukuyuku and Musekese Camp
which do stay open for all 12 months
of the year.
Most Safari Camps to Lodges offer
all inclusive luxury packages and selfcatering camping options to incoming
tourists, making Kafue National Park
accessible to all types of tourists.
