I ' d definitely recommend this book to readers that love deep stories that play at your emotions throughout. Everything that I was wondering and all questions were answered in the final two chapters. have happened in my own life. I recommend this story teenagers and young adults specifically but it ' ll be enjoyed for an audience of women of any age.
The Hurt Inside by Taylor Sherran Young
When I first saw the cover, I was captivated by the hurt on the woman ' s face. I could tell right away that this was going to be a very emotional story. The title and cover both went together perfectly.
From the first page of the book, the introduction of the characters pulled you further into the story. As more and more characters were introduced, the story got better, more intriguing, more grasping. The word play in this book was out of this world. Combined with the excellent editing, this was a story that I honestly enjoyed. Rarely do you find books that are edited and formatted correctly throughout the whole story.
The plot of the story was one that will leave your mind racing. Imagine having a wonderful life with a wonderful husband and great children. You have everything that you could want in life but one day your deepest secret comes to surface. That ' s what Libra has to deal with when she is unexpectedly arrested. From that point on the story goes back in time to her childhood. As the story drifted from present day to the past, the story took over as Libra told of the nightmare she lived. This book had my emotions all over the place as I read about the hell that she went through as a child.
Love Changes by Eartha Watt Hicks
Wow!!! This book really blew me away. Starting with the cover, I was iffy about reading this book. It was the little things about the cover( i. e. three versions of the same woman, etc.) that had me wondering what was the connection to the story. The cover made it seem like ' Life Changes ' was a more appropriate title but when I jumped into the story, I realized how perfect the cover was for the book.
In the story, the main character went through many ups and downs just as we all do in life. The plot kept me on edge wondering what Mia was going to do next and who she was going to end up with. Many women can relate to dealing with a man that was presumed to be the " one ", only to end up realizing he wasn ' t any better than the rest. Initially, Mia was weak. She allowed her love for a man to negatively change her and what she wanted for herself. Even after a decade, all she wanted was a marriage. Doing this caused her be caught with egg on her face. This story will hit home for many women who often times give in to be accepted in love. I loved how Mia grew throughout the story, which made me anticipate turning the pages. The book was perfectly edited with no issues found at all.
Overall, I could actually put myself in the shoes of the main character, which is always a plus. I experienced so many emotions throughout reading this book. There were so many life lessons found within pages of this book. This book was relatable in so many ways and I found myself reflecting several times on events that
Fallen II( Capabale Volme II) by T. S. Brumsey
Book II was interesting because as a teen, you ' re more susceptible to fall for things you know to be a facade because it ' s called " growing up ". For this book cover, I liked the eye ' s because they seem mysterious as to what they ' ve seen. Yet the college in the backdrop paints the imagery that this book is situated on a college campus. In previous books in the series, many things that have transpired between this group of friends as they began college. It picked up when Fallen I ended and I appreciated that.
The plot was believable because of the stressors that all college students and teenagers face in life daily. I was able to connect with all the characters because each one displayed a different reason for their purpose to this book. In terms of editing, it was great. No mistakes seen. This book is a page anticipator! The flow of the storyline kept me aware of who, what, where, when, and why. But all readers must to start from the beginning of series to keep up.
The author outdid herself for this book. I love how this series truly shows how the stressors in life can sometimes overwhelm your thought process and alter your decisions. We are all human, and there are times when we make bad decisions and fall short to lust, temptation, Jealousy, and anger. However, believe it or not there are repercussions to those bad choices. I can ' t wait to read Fallen III and see just what develops within this group! If you love a good tale of love, emotion, trust, betrayal, lies, and lust then you’ re going to love this story.
