Revues Galore Presents.... Issue 2 Issue 3 | Page 4

Iss 3/October 2016 Revues Galore The story is very gender friendly. There are a few fight scenes graphic enough for those who love action coupled with the mystery and murder. This storyline is very much believable. There are many women who experience domestic violence just like so many people experience being taken advantage of. It flowed very well and never became stale. It intense kept building and building and when you wonder what happens next, the author makes sure to allow that character to resurface to remember the connection in the storyline. KUDOS!!! was necessary to the plot. There was not one character that the book could do without. I found myself relating to the main character, Daniel. After losing so much and the nightmares that plagued him, I wouldn't have wanted to help either. I am glad that the author helped him to heal and find love out his own. The story ended with two of the characters starting something between each other that may lead to a sequel on them. However, the author answered all questions pertaining to Daniel. The readers will not be lost but become captured in the story line and hang on to every word. I recommend this book to all readers who love a tale of suspense, romance, lust, and desire. Tragedy, Lust & Destiny by Navi' Robins This was a very interesting book. The title basically summarized the book for you and it's perfect for the content of the story. It piqued my interest so it'll grab the attention of other readers. The book cover is nice and basic. It gives a glimpse of the content coming. Bitter Sweet by Jonas Brinkley The book is filled with poems that touch on things such as slavery. African American women, love, etc. There were no errors identified in this book. All poems flowed naturally together and touched on different topics. Some made you think a little more than others. The introduction of the story was interesting to say the least. It gave an insight into the plot but did not reveal the story too much. The plot of the story focused on a Doctor who went to another Africa to help save lives of the Sudanese people. While down in Africa, he stumbled into some of their troubles that scarred him beyond repair. Shortly after, the Sudanese government needed the doctors help to solve some crimes. He resisted in the beginning but a couple of events change his mind. For the life of me, I couldn't understand what the cover or title had to do with the book. I know there is a poem within the book with the title Bitter Sweet but I don't know if that's supposed to be the focal point of the book. However, if it is, there needs to be something more identifying on the co ver. The storyline was more than believable. It will remind the reader of an episode from Law and Order: SVU, just more explosive, detailed and intense. The book showed less than ten main characters and they all were introduced very well. They all played a role that Recommendations for this book are to individuals who enjoy poetry or spoken word and who are at least teenagers, being that some of the poems discuss a sexual topic. 4
