Blood In, Blood Out: Buffie & Butler’ s Saga by Co Kane
Can ' t Turn A Hoe into a Housewife!! Everybody knew that but for some men, they find that challenge to be rewarding. Meet Butler, the only man to love a battered and bruised woman beyond the pain she endured.
Buffie finally escaped from her old lifestyle of stripping, tricking, but more importantly her abusive boyfriend and child’ s now dead father, Cheddar. She was finally able to upgrade and live the life she always wanted. Too bad, old habits died hard and having a history of being misguided made it easy to pull Buffie back down the lonely road of nothing. Can Buffie live the life of a housewife or will she fall back into the streets an lose it all? Find out in this CoKane original!
This story was steady paced and so full of raw drama and lust that you can ' t wait to see what happens next! The author took two previous characters and gave us a new spin on loyalty and real love. I love the cover because the picture alone gives you a mental vision of what your reading. Awesome job!
A Thug and a Gentleman by Mona
The leading lady in the novel was very unhappy with the life that she was given. She possessed anything that a housewife could want except her man in their bed and his heart in her hands. She wasn ' t willing to lose her built life but a chance encounter gave her the chance to fill that void in her life.
In came a young man that could have any woman that he wanted, any time that he wanted, and any way that he wanted. Every man wanted a woman that matched him and completed him, making him feel whole. But what if that woman wasn ' t yours to begin with? What do you? Through trials and tribulations, they ' ll eventually figure out where their hearts wanted to be. Will they be able to figure it out before someone got hurt?
The cover art for this novel was great. It shows the sexy side of the book and a gave the vibe that this will be a sexy love between a woman and a thug. The flow of the story was that of a seasoned author. The book possessed a solid foundation and gave enough background information on each character to provide their purpose in the novel, not giving away too much. The interactions between the characters ran smoothly and gave the story a real life feel. The story didn ' t force the characters to evolve because of each other but to evolve by the flow
I Stay Down to Ride by Fatima Munroe
This was a great book that kept me on the edge of my seat! The author did a wonderful job with grammar and spelling. The cover was okay, but it doesn ' t show the true meaning of what the story displayed as a ride or die. The flow was steady paced and easy to follow the chain of events. KaMoni was a trusting, naive young girl who dealt with real life struggles, and only wanted a better life. Dreek, a true manipulator / pimp, was always searching for the all mighty dollar. Can KaMoni rid herself of him and his conniving ways then get out of the game? Or does she fall for his many mind games and let money consume her?
This story kept my mind pondering what would happen to all the people who get caught up in Moni ' s web. Find out how the power and the love for the P can cause havoc in the lives of the many men and women who aren’ t strong enough to simply hit it and quit it. I would enjoy a sequel to this book to find out the fate of KaMoni & Kepano as well as Phaedra & TeRel. Good job, author.
