Comic-Con International , held every summer in San Diego , CA , hosts a multitude of experiences for the attendee . One of those experiences for me is the chance to meet celebrities and speak to them about their careers , new projects , and their activities outside of the big or little screen . One great pleasure this year was spending time talking with Patricia Tallman , best known for her role as Lyta Alexander on TNT ’ s hit show Babylon 5 . She has also played numerous other roles on the small screen with Star Trek Voyager , Star Trek Deep Space 9 , Night of the Living Dead , and Without a Trace , just to name a very few .
Patricia ’ s book “ Pleasure Thresholds ” is a sharing of her memoirs from her time with Babylon 5 .
After I picked up my copy of the book from Patricia I couldn ’ t put it down . I read it during Comic-Con when I wasn ’ t involved in my activities with REVOLUTIONS magazine and after I returned back home from San Diego .
“ Pleasure Thresholds ” is an in depth look at the life of Patricia both on and off the set . It is an interesting and captivating travel following Patricia ' s path through her childhood to college years and from there to the launching of her acting career , leading to her audition for her role on Babylon 5 . It is a fascinating look at the whole experience in both word and pictures . Included in Patricia ' s book are many of her personal pictures from during this time period , most of which have never before been shared until published in this work . Patricia also gives us an insightful look into fellow actors , family members , her acting contracts , and other ventures in Patricia ’ s life outside of Babylon 5 during this time period .
I found “ Pleasure Thresholds ” to be a quick and easy read that will keep the reader engaged in Patricia ' s journey from childhood dreams to adult success .
