Revive - A Quarterly Fly Fishing Journal | Page 34

After knocking back a few nightcaps, we are off to bed. It is July so the sun never quite leaves you completely in the dark. Shades in our room are drawn in order to help fabricate enough darkness by which to sleep. We rise early for our last day at the lodge and the discussion immediately goes to where should we fish today.

Amongst the group everyone has favorite rivers and experiences from the week they wish to revisit and by the end of breakfast a plan is hatched. Some will trek across the lake to ply the waters of the Gibraltar River while a few want to fly back to the upper Copper. Me, I dig large mammals and want to brush shoulders with the bears again, watch cubs play on the bank and catch a fish or two in the meantime.
