As March nears its end and April looms fish numbers reach their peak….as do the fisherman who pursue them. This is the time to think outside the box. Fish different water. Try different flies. Don’t be afraid to add some movement into your drift. There is another excellent option this time of year that doesn’t involve our chrome friends if the crowds become too heavy. Trout water all over the state is completely deserted and pulling large streamers looking for trophy brown trout is a nice way to avoid the chaos of the spring run.
