“A FARMER WENT TO HIS FIELDS TO SOW GRAIN. AS HE
SCATTERED HIS SEEDS, SOME FELL ON THE PATHWAY. THE SOIL
WAS HARD AND IMPENETRABLE, DUE TO THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE
WHO HAD TRAMPLED IT UNDERFOOT OVER THE COURSE OF MANY
YEARS. THE BIRDS COULD EASILY FIND THE GRAIN AND EAT IT,
SO THERE WAS NOT EVEN A CHANCE OF IT BEARING FRUIT.
SOME SEEDS FELL AMONG THE ROCKS, WHERE THERE WAS NOT
ENOUGH SOIL FOR THE SEEDS TO TAKE ROOT AND GROW.
