TARRAGONA BIO:
Four young talents who set the tone in one of the best upcoming
hard rock and heavy metal bands from the city of Zwolle in The
Netherlands. Powerful vocals à la Ronnie James Dio and Bruce
Dickinson; melodic guitar solos with a Spanish vibe and fierce
rhythms; that’s TARRAGONA in a nutshell.
Four old souls in young bodies. Consisting of phenomenal sin-
ger/guitarist Vidal Wildeboer, charismatic lead guitarist Lennart
van Kampen, fast fingered bassist Bastiaan Bijsterbosch and the
energetic drummer Stef Hoekjen. With their own compositions,
self-written lyrics and unique sound, TARRAGONA distinguishes
itself by far amongst the many other rock and metal bands.
Their influences include bands like Alter Bridge, Metallica, Iron
Maiden, System Of A Down and also the Spanish flamenco mu-
sic. Quite a mix of different styles and genres, yet TARRAGONA
manages to weave all these different influences together and de-
velop their own recognizable style.
Whether TARRAGONA perform their own shows, support a major
band such as Mastodon and Jeff Scott Soto or play in a small in-
timate venue; the audience is always served with an intense mu-
sical experience and a ‘play like your life depends on it!’ attitude.
In November 2014 TARRAGONA released their debut EP titled
“Shall We Remain?” along with the official music video for their
single “Shall We Remain?” Many shows and records have yet to
come!
