Abstract
The present research has as main objective to implement reforestation
Mijao to strengthen biodiversity in the gorge of the sector, "San Pedro" parish
Barinitas, Bolivar County of Barinas. The nature of the research was framed
under the qualitative paradigm and the research is participatory action
research, under a field design with a descriptive support fulfilling four (4)
phases raised by Murcia (diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
The technique used to collect data was the interview and participant
observation. In the same way, it was used as an instrument an interview script.
Also, to respond to questions in the interview guide were taken as key
informants to three (3) neighboring savvy environmental matters belonging to
the community under study. The quality criteria of the investigation were based
on reliability, credibility, systematic, trust, transferability and Confirmability the
instrument. In this vein, to carry out the analysis and interpretation of data were
performed using data triangulation process. The results obtained have shown
the need for an action plan to reforest with native species of the region as the
Mijao to strengthen the biodiversity of the gorge of the San Pedro area. The
evaluation of the actions of the plan, was through participation and it was
continuous during the development of this plan. In conclusion the intention of
the members of the community to participate in the reforestation of the creek
and recommended to follow the plan through the creation of a green brigade
composed of the members of the environment committee of the community
council was evident.
