Edith Márquez showed us at early age, a great vocal skills thanks to her particular vocal style. She won several contests for children to give beginning to a solid and long career, that turn her today in one of the best spanish speaking singers
His beginnings in the artistic way date back of 1882 to the age of 9 years when it appears in the festival of songs for children Juguemos a Cantar, under the stage name Heidi. She won third place.
Then, in 1984, won the first place in the contest Canta Canta™ in TV show XE-TU™ with Pedro Fernandez. Following this involvement, started to appear as a guest on several music programs and festivals.
She later attended some courses at Centro de Educacion Artistica™ of Televisa™, shortly after she take part of the auditions for the play Grease™, participating in the play without a character set.
In 1986, Edith began the recording of TV show Papa Soltero™ with Cesar Costa, that come out into the air the same year and remain around 8 years.
In December 1987, its invited to join the music group Timbiriche™ to take Mariana Garza´s place, who selected Edith personally to replace her. She shared stage in the group with Erick Rubin, Diego Schoening, Alix Bauer, Thalia, Paulina Rubio, Bibi Gaytan, Eduardo Capetillo, Patty Tanuz, Claudia Bermudez y Sivia Campos.
The first year, the group was very difficult for her because she was not very well accepted by the group, they played it heavy hazing, after one year everything was different, Edith earned the respect of bandmates.
After leaving the group, Márquez continues with her actress career in Papa Soltero™ that finishes in 1994, also made small roles in soap operas like Agujetas de color de Rosa™, Sentimientos Ajenos™ and El Privilegio de Amar™ and some episodes in Casos de la Vida Real.™
In 2010, Edith Márquez reaches the two and a half million copies sold since 1998 as a soloist, one of the few singers in Mexico who reach such a large number without an aggresssive advertising campaing.
