2002 – July 15, after the death of Mr. Juan Cavo, ACDE appoints Lic. Fernán de Elizalde as Postulator of the Cause. His appointment receives the approval of the Archbishopric on August 28.
2004 – July 15, ACDE appoints Dr. Juan Gregorio Navarro Floria as Postulator for the Cause, and Lic. Fernán de Elizalde as Vice Postulator. Both designations receive the approval of the Archbishopric on July 21.
On November 29, S.E.R. Jorge Bergoglio appoints Fr. Dr. Alejandro Carlos Llorente as theologian expert to examine the published writings of the Servant of God.
2005 – May 30, Fr. Dr. Alejandro Carlos Llorente presents his report of censorship on the edited writings of the Servant of God before S.E.R., affirming "there is nothing in such writings contrary to faith or good customs".
On June 16, the Postulator for the Cause, Dr. Juan Gregorio Navarro Floria, formally presented to S.E.R. the formal opening of the Cause.
On August 25, the formal opening ceremony of the Cause is held at the Curia of Buenos Aires.
Dr. María Isabel De Ruschi Crespo is appointed as a member of the Commission of Experts in the History of the Cause.
2006 - Dr. Silvia Correale is appointed as postulator of the Cause in Rome.
2007- The definitive historical archive was enabled, in accordance with the established archive standards.
2008 - Prof. Mónica Cuccarese de Jonte and Lic. Inés Gutiérrez Berisso de Marchionna join the Commission of Experts in the History of the Cause.
2009 to 2013 - The Historical Commission and the ACDE finalize the pending steps. On September 19, 2013, the Closing ceremony of the diocesan phase of the Cause of Canonization was held at the Argentine Catholic University.
2014 - - The documentation of the Cause is taken to Rome.
2015 - The Vatican Congregation for the Cause of Saints decrees the legal validity of the documentation received.
Monsignor Paul Pallath is appointed Rapporteur of the Cause.
2016 and 2017 - Monsignor Pallath delves into the story of Enrique Shaw and its historical context.
Several issues were overcome, due to the issuance of new legal norms regarding the organization of causes.
2018 - Final drafts of the Positio are approved.
Copies are printed and given to historians and theologians to work on.
2019 - The diocesan instruction documents of the alleged miracle of the Servant of God Enrique Shaw are presented in Rome.
