Highlands
The highlands is the mountainous region of Peru.
It is located very near the Andes and its highest point reaches over 6768 m above the sea level.
36% of it is populated. The highlands have a dry and temperate weather with huge variations of weather during the day. It has two seasons and the temperature here can reach 21° Celsius during the day.
Coast
The coast has a narrow band of desert and fertile lands along the pacific ocean. 52% of it is populated. On the northern part of the coats, it is very sunny all the year, but on the southern part of it, it is temperate, with no rain, yet it has a lot of clouds. The temperature during the day reaches 30° Celsius .
