February is often known for being a month dedicated to and all about love . But February is not only about valentines and sweethearts ; instead it can also be a month for self-love and self-care , fostering relationships with family and friends , and loving others . In a month filled with gifts and poems and other romantic gestures , it ´ s easy to get a little anxious about whether you ´ ve found the perfect way to show someone that you care . But it all doesn ´ t have to be about the size of a gift or the amount that you spend , simple acts can go a long way and that is precisely what we ´ ve wanted to achieve with our First Valentine cards competition at IESO Alconétar organized by the English department .
All the students from the school have had the opportunity to participate just by decorating beautifully valentine cards and writing love messages to a friend from the school . Once the cards were ready , the students hung them in the school tree in the main hall so that their valentines could find and read them . It has been a successful activity with great participation and the three best cards have received a prize .
