Professor Ovídio is no longer at the Training Department of the Oporto Medical School . I ’ m very sorry that his mission has now ended . Professor Ovídio is a hero to me , one of my heroes . I keep from him many memories , but the one that most easily jumps to my mind is the enthusiasm that he dedicated to the operationalization of his ideas . It has also been a great locomotive for me and no doubt for many others . He has created beautiful , rare , unprecedented things . He was always worried about knowledge and the wisdom that others always need . It has been dedicated , in body and soul , to create , to nurture and to operationalize the courses that were jumping in his mind . And he pushed all of us , and he keeps pushing us , with its fervor and tenacity . It is important to spread wisdom in the classroom and far away . And so it has done . He is a man of sharing , who shares and does not just keep to himself . He discusses the themes and criticize them . He learns and teaches . This is Professor Ovídio Costa , which comes out of a leadership , but he will continue in front of us as a great reference . Thank you , Professor , for I owe you a great deal . The courses will continue with quality , presence and dynamism . There will be his disciples and those who will now replace him , because they are also of very good quality , they will know how to preserve this scientific and pedagogical heritage .
The Prof . Doctors Pedro Carvalho and Vítor Hugo Teixeira , from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food of the University of Porto , published a very interesting book , with an appealing and illuminating title . They wanted to reveal to us 50 foods of excellence that we can find in Portugal for our
feeding . However , the authors indicate there are five foods that are not produced in Portugal ( COD , cinnamon , ginger , mango and soy ), but some of them could be . It is a book of 274 pages that , although it was published in 2012 , it remains current and constitutes an excellent guide to teach to eat food at the time , at the appropriate time . We learn that the pepper has more vitamin C , than the orange , that the pomegranate has excellent antioxidant qualities and that persimmon is important for the prevention of cardiovascular disease . The book has the curiosity that all foods are accompanied by a recipe and a nutritional identification . Another objective is to demystify some ideas made in relation to each of them , promoting their consumption and , importantly , the national economy . It is published by the publisher Matéria Prima and it is of mandatory reading .

In both groups , the incidence was higher during the games in relation to the trainings ( 14.22 vs . 2.06 / 1000 hours ).
