that mesotherapy, when associated with other therapeutic techniques, for instance TENS (Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation), has faster good results in reducing pain than when they are applied in isolation, which is similar to the results dem- onstrated in other papers, where mesotherapy was associated with other therapeutic techniques, such as TENS and laser or dynamic thera- pies. 14.15 On the beginning of this decade, on a meeting where several medi- cal specialties were present, it was reviewed and validated the rational use, indications, advantages and contraindications of mesotherapy with the purpose to create a series of recommendations of the appro- priate use of Intradermal therapy. It was concluded that intradermal administration is effective to fight pain and it should be considered another therapeutic “weapon” that doctors can use. 16 In the case of the persistence of pain implies a new clinical evaluation and therapeutic decision. 3 Currently, in France, mesotherapy is recognized by the French Medical Academy as a legitimate technique to control pain, its costs are reim- bursed by Social security and it is applied in most sports and in medi- cal centers as well. 17 References 1.
