The doctors from different medical specialties and the physiotherapists debated the last evidences for prevention of injuries on the physical activity practitioners and sportsmen and the good prac- tice on the conservative and surgical treatment of the musculoskeletal injuries, as the nutritionists clarified the nutritional security and the ade- quacy for health and performance on the society, special populations and/or athletes. The speakers, either Portuguese or foreigners, congratu- lated by the bridges created among the different sciences, professionals and students. Besides de develop- ment of knowledge and compe- tences promoted by the high scien- tific level of the discussion, there was, as one of the main legacies of the scientific meeting, the belief that the interdisciplinary translation of knowledge, and for the society, ben- efits the professional exercise, the economy and, above all, health and well-being of everybody. The Foundation Dr. Cupertino de Miranda welcomed more than 600 registered persons in this Confe- rence, being more than half outside the district of Porto. The success of this initiative proved surprising on year where the role of physical activity, sports and nutrition for health, human development and social integration, along with the theme of sports injuries – the theme which Clínica do Dragão – Espre- gueira-Mendes Sports Centre – FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence is very well known, with the greatest experience and history, and it is also the official center of ISAKOS, ESSKA and ICRS. “The conference with integration of nutrition, physical activity and sports rehabilitation reached subjects a bit aside of our main activity, mas extraordinary important”, it was referred by Prof. Doctor João Espregueira-Mendes.  Launch of the project Life First Saúde Atlântica – Clínica do Dragão, in partnership with the Portuguese Foundation of Cardiol- ogy and with Senilife, launched the Project Life First. The motto of this project is based on the donation of medical emergency bags, with a defibrillator among other devices needed for an emergency scenario, to sports institutions in National territory.
