ROOM 13 By Ulises Costas. 3 rd C
Viborg is a city in Denmark. Mr. Anderson was writing a
book about the history of Denmark. The Landlord of the
showed him two rooms- room number 12 and room
number 14. Anderson noticed that there wasn´t a room
13 because it was an unlucky number. In the morning,
Anderson went to the Town Hall. He wanted to study the
town records. The Bishop had owned three or four
houses in the city. He had rented one of them to Nicolas
Franken. The townspeople didn´t like Nicolas. Anderson
went back to the and he saw the door of room 13 and he
heard someone inside. He wanted to ask the landlord
about it. He was angry because his suitcase was missing.
Anderson saw a shadow on the wall of the opposite
house. This shadow was strange because the person in
room 13 was wearing a tall, pointed hat and the light
from room 13 was red. Next morning, he found his
suitcase. That evening when Anderson opened the
window there was the red light and the shadow again.
Suddenly a terrible noise came from the next room. Then
a man opened the door and came in but it was the
Landlord. After that the noise coming from the door 13 in
the room became louder and wilder. An arm came out, it
was thin and covered in grey hairs. Then the arm
disappeared and the door was closed. The Landlord called
two men to help. The men had axes in their hands.
Suddenly the men cried out and dropped their axes. The
door 13 had disappeared. In the morning, they found a
box there with old papers but no one was able to read the
papers. They were in a strange language. They were
written in BLOOD.
