That ability to think beyond the obvious, beyond the storm of desperation and need, is something only an artist would do. Something Esther and her daughter, Estella, did in opening up their business, Star of the East. Esther was able to take a life-changing experience, one that could have destroyed her, and instead turned it into a profitable venture.
