Our original model was sidelined by an injury the day of the shoot. Our Features Editor was home with a sick kid. That left our Senior Editor, Laura, and Carly trying to pull a rabbit out of a hat. It took some convincing to get Carly in front of the lens as she is much more comfortable behind it, but in the end she showed Laura the basics of the camera and they got started.
Nikki arrived intending to shoot background photos, rolled up her sleeves, and took over as lead photographer.
Like a biblical Ebenezer the set surrounded Carly with “stones of help”. The group got creative with concepts, props – really just a whole lot of rocks – and “wouldn't it be cool to just put stones in your hair?”
