In this issue, we look at another month of progress for reusable packaging.
We report on CHEP's work in support of clean energy innovation through its partnership with the University of Newcastle in Australia, and the promise of more affordable and accessible solar power. Find out more on Page 8.
There are a lot of different reusable packaging products that work behind the scenes. One of them is the plastic layer pad, which provides great value in bottling applications. Cartonplast, which provides a rental model and an inventory of 45 million units, announced a new acquisition (Page 11) as well as presenting case studies (Page 22.)
Kudos to Macro Plastics, which has joined 1% for the Planet, pledging to donate 1% of the annual sales of their Hybrid bin line to support nonprofit organizations focused on the environment. Check out the details on Page 17.
In automotive (Page 19), Surgere®, has announced the appointment of automotive supply chain veteran Dana McBrien as Guiding Architect for the AutoSphereTM, the company’s digital supply chain platform now uniting five major automakers and a growing number of their suppliers.
