Getting insights on
modern cold storage and
cold logistics in ASEAN
OVER the course of three days, the
Asia Cold Chain Show will deliver
valuable and comprehensive business-to-
business networking opportunities for
the F&B, seafood, frozen food, FMCG,
cosmetics, agricultural, cold storage,
pharmaceutical, retail and other end-
user industry.
With an exclusive zone for Pharma
Logistics, Asia Cold Chain Show is
said to be the premier destination
for innovation, education and B2B
networking for the entire food and
pharma industry. Primary exhibitor
focus of the event is cold storage
infrastructure, materials handling,
automation, refrigeration, reefer
transport, data loggers, pharma ground
handlers, sensors, packaging and
containers for pharma, temperature
monitors, temperature-controlled
logistics, cold chain monitoring using
GPS devices and other technology and
solutions.
More than 100 companies will be
showcasing products and services across
the cold chain. Decision makers from
agro, F&B, pharmaceutical, retail,
seafood, meat, frozen food, floriculture,
chemical and other sectors which are
regular users of cold storage, materials
handling, temperature controlling and
cold chain technologies will stand to
benefit from the exhibition.
Kiran Mittal, managing director,
Manch Exhibitions (Thailand) — the
organiser of the show — says the
company wants to offer the trade
audience a bigger event with diverse and
attractive solutions. “We have seen a
tremendous response from the exhibitors
who have interest in the South-east
Asian market. We are promoting this
show in ASEAN countries to get the
prospective buyers from all over the
region.”
The conference portion will
address the demand for sophisticated
cold chain third-party logistics (3PL),
and determining and incorporating
guidelines to include transparency in
regulations for transportation, supply
chain, precise temperature ranges for food
categories and pharmaceutical products.
“This year’s programme is absolutely
in sync with the objective of our show to
bring all key stakeholders at one platform
and discuss the business landscape of
cold chain sector in ASEAN region. We
strongly feel that a dedicated conference
on exploring challenges and profitability
of implementing cold chain for handling
imports including fruit, flowers,
pharmaceutical and seafood for improved
food and product safety and quality give
a definite reason for buyers to attend the
event,” Mittal adds.
The conference agenda includes
sector forecast, policy issues, business
development and technology upgradation
in the form of panel discussions and
case studies. A larger emphasis will be
on examining the need for well-defined
strategies and development for necessary
in-house expertise to optimise processes
and minimise cost. It will also discuss
overcoming substantial hurdles in the
implementation and management of cold
chain logistics satisfaction.
“We encourage more buyers to speak
at the conference so that the industry
gets the real-time insight into their
expectations, priorities and decision-
making,” Mittal suggests.
