CITY COUNCIL LOOKING FOR NEW COMMITTEE AND BOARD MEMBERS

Interested in becoming more involved with City matters ? The Laguna Beach City Council is accepting applications for the following committees and boards : Design Review Board , Environmental Sustainability Committee , Heritage Committee , Parking , Traffic , & Circulation Committee , Recreation Committee , Housing and Human Services Committee , Audit Review & Investment Advisory Committee , and View Restoration Committee . Interviews and appointments will be conducted on Feb . 7 , 2023 , at 5 p . m ., by the City Council . All applicants may be interviewed . City Council members may contact applicants prior to the interviews and appointments , so please be prepared to make a brief statement about your desire to serve . Laguna Beach residents who are interested in serving on one of these Committees , Commissions , or Boards should obtain an application from the City Clerk ’ s office or online from the City ’ s website , www . lagunabeachcity . net , and file by Friday , Jan . 20 , 2023 , at 4:30 p . m . The City Council may reduce or increase the number of positions at its discretion ): ( 3 ) two-year terms on the Board of Adjustment / Design Review Board with terms beginning April 1 , 2023 , through March 31 , 2025 .

The Woman ’ s Club has been a part of Laguna ’ s local narrative since 1922 , but what is the club up to now ? A few weeks ago , the organization celebrated its 100th anniversary of helping women and children in need and will host their famous holiday luncheon today . However , its public outreach reaches far beyond celebrations and luncheons .
In addition to being a source for women to gather , be social , create / foster connections and an overall sense of ‘ sisterhood ’, the mission of the club since its founding in 1922
