A big must is to ensure that on the big day your
children are either with family or at play dates for the
day so the move can be done as hassle free as possible.
At this stage everything should be boxed and labelled.
Make sure that on moving day that all your furniture:
couches, dining room table and chairs, coffee tables,
bed side tables, mirrors are all be wrapped in bubble
wrap to prevent any potential damage. Any breakables
like mirrors and sheets of glass should be wrapped in
bubble wrap and transported together.

falling or crashing into other stuff causing damage to
either your belongings, or worse causing accidents on
the road. Always double check that your possessions
are solidly locked down and unable to move.
It really does help to have a bit of a survival kit on
hand: a medical aid bag, toiletries, cool drinks, quick
snacks, a fully charged cell phone, water bottles,
black bags, bottle openers, toilet paper, paper cups
and plates and anything else that will help ease the
transition.
And then, the unpacking begins.... hopefully by
following these guides, you will move into your
home as stress free as possible and certainly not
traumatised.
Like you packed room by room, plan to
unpack room by room as well. It just makes
the process simpler for you. That is why it
helps to have all the boxes labelled as well
as an indication as to whether the contents
of the boxes are fragile or not (and whether
there is a particular way they need to be
carried).
