the current one, as the current landlord may simply
be trying to get them to move on and give a great
reference to get rid of them) you can paint a picture
as to the type of lifestyle they lead and what type of
tenant they are. It might seem like a lot to check for a
tenant but even if they are professional and look like
the perfect tenants, don’t take chances, as they say
act, “in haste, repent at leisure.”
If in doubt, consider a guarantor
If you have any doubts at all about your tenant
applicants, but you would still like to proceed with
them for some reason, you should ask them to provide
a guarantor.
The guarantor will under write the tenants’
obligations to pay the rent, make good any damage,
settle outstanding bills, etc.
You must vet the guarantor the same way you
would vet your tenant.
