The background
Where there are people with different views
and beliefs living together in a community,
there will always be disputes, whether
it is between homeowners, between the
directors, other business entities, suppliers
and visitors. Homeowners associations
must have an agreed policy and process
in place to resolve disputes and conflict as
they arise.
The policy
Recognising that no one community is
the same and with a genuine interest in
making dispute resolution (DR) procedure
accessible to all owners, RCC encourages
community association board members to
design DR procedures most appropriate
for the
particular community’s needs
