RESEARCH PROGRAMS

We offer the following postgraduate research courses :

• Doctor of Philosophy ( PhD ): Research may be undertaken in principal areas including biochemistry and molecular biology , epidemiology and preventive medicine , general practice , medical education , medicine , microbiology , paediatrics , pharmacology , physiology , psychology , surgery , and toxicology .

• Master of Biomedical Science : This course involves the independent investigation of a research problem that students formulate . The research they undertake is expected to make a significant contribution to the discipline they are enrolled in .

• Postgraduate Diploma in Biomedical Science : This is a qualifying degree designed for students who do not hold an honours degree or equivalent , but who would like to pursue a higher degree by research .
