Dr. Jamie Taylor is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dublin City University. His research spans skill acquisition, expertise development and athlete pathways, with a particular focus on accelerating learning and performance in high-performance sport. He is Programme Lead for the MSc in Elite Sport Performance and currently collaborates with a range of organisations, including the Premier League, the GAA, the IRFU and Premiership Rugby. Alongside his research, he has extensive experience as a coach and coach developer. He coaches at Leicester Tigers and as a coach developer across multiple sports.
Michael Ashford is a Coach Development Consultant who is presently supporting England Rugby’ s performance teams as their coach developer. Having previously worked as a coach- he now works across several different sports within high performance contexts as a coach developer, including numerous Olympic sports, Wasps Rugby and Bayonne Rugby. Michael is also an academic, currently exploring coaching expertise within a two year post-doctoral research study exploring coaching expertise alongside Dublin City University, the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, and the Premier League.
