They are either overly sexualized or portrayed as the “angry black women” by having them fighting each other on TV. This leaves one wondering, what do you show your daughter on TV. We are a media obsessed generation, it is important to make sure that when your niece sees girls who look like her on TV, that is why RESA is putting the spotlight on these two beautiful ladies who have showed us pride and fierceness by simply being themselves. As a beautiful young lady that you are, it shouldn’t matter whether you are yellow, white blue or orange. Beauty is what is in the inside. Beauty is what you are when you just be yourself. Gabby Douglas was the first woman in Olympic history to become the individual All-around Champion. She won gold in both gymnastic and we couldn’t be any more proud of her. \ 8
