WE MADE IT
Okay so here is the thing. Society
still has to accept black women as
“beautiful”. Researchers have
actually done studies and came to a
conclusion that men from all
different kinds of races find black
women the least attractive. There
was an article published in Essence
that talked about how young
beautiful black women were moving
to European countries because that
is where they are more desirable. It
is true, Europeans do take their
chocolate very seriously but are we
all about to pack our bags and move
to the other side of the pond for
some loving?
.
While you are still young and you do
not have to pack your bags because you
have time, I am here to tell you that we
have made it. We are in 2014 that is
something that you do not have to
worry about. You owe it to yourself to
love yourself as woman. You are smart,
beautiful, and confident, the color of
your skin does not value your beauty. If
you carefully consume your media, you
will learn that there are positive role
models like Lupita Nyong’o who is
putting us on the scene. Gabby Douglas
who put as on the Olympic flag and
many more. As you go through the
pages of this magazine, I hope that you
are reminded of how beautiful you are.
So feel free to try out any tips on these
pages and don’t forget to check out our
social network pages. Because rumor
has it that now we have people
representing you in the media….
You know I had to do it for you!
Love
