Hidden underneath sea sand, the Demonic looking stargazer waits to ambush its prey.
Is he going the right way? Where is he taking us? This is what came to my mind on my first ever dive in Dauin, Negros Oriental. The dive guide took us over an area that looked much like a flat, lifeless desert, not the beautiful colors of a tropical reef full of fish that I was expecting to see. Many people will have similar thoughts the first time they do a‘ muck’ dive. When you take your time and follow a good guide you’ ll soon find out why you are diving in this volcanic, nutrient rich dark sand.
After about 10 minutes of searching through the muck we came across the most prehistoric creatures,
