Family members victims live with the pain, anguish, uncertainty and sometimes guilt, which plays a fundamental role in the development of the families, who have to endure the psychological, familial, economic and social impact generated the victimizing facts and, in many cases, the constant concealment to the truth, false accusations, threats and harassment in a process of revictimization which caused, in addition, the prolongation of the Affectations, root pain and almost in a permanent way, changing family dynamics. The report for some family members represents a fundamental part of its production process, some carried out their own investigation, putting his life at risk as part of the effort to know the truth and to do the work of the institutions in which no they trust. Thus, for families this special jurisdiction for the peace process represents the first step of the compensation by the State, in turn generated an important factor in the effects of psychosocial intervention, representing the beginning of a real and comprehensive support to victims.
Then we respectfully present some recommendations that we believe necessary to achieve the objective of the special jurisdiction for peace contribute to reparations for the victims:
1. It is necessary that the victims receive a process of clinical accompaniment that allows them to overcome the effects of the violation of human rights, pain that produces them the fact and the emotions that surround it. This is a process that should be performed before, during and after trials, interviews and testimonials, provided they or the perpetrators, so that legal actions that advance by Special Jurisdiction for Peace, may be received by families without these generate a negative impact on its evolution.
2. Start psychosocial intervention in order to address the serious impacts at the collective level, and thus, strengthening support networks that were destroyed because of abandonment, the threats, the harassment, impunity and the institutional and social stigmatization. As part of the intervention process, one of the objectives must be provide symbolic reparation (e.g., public acts of forgiveness which should equal or surpass the damage caused with the stigma).
Given the economic conditions found in the course of this documentation, victims waiting in the SIVJRNR get a real reparation, hence it is necessary that recognition of their right to financial compensation that allows them to live with dignity.
It is recommended to establish a platform for easy access and educational so that victims can track their cases without the need for intermediaries. We insist that the channels of communication with the victims must be the most expeditious to provide them timely information on the status and progress of the processes.
