Biomedical Sciences Program
The Biomedical Sciences Program at Coon Rapids High School
includes a sequence of Project Lead The Way courses that are hands-
on and use a real-world problem solving approach. Students explore
concepts of human medicine and are introduced to topics such as
physiology, genetics, microbiology, and public health. The Biomed-
ical Sciences Program focuses on four main career fields: Health and
Biological Sciences, Biomedical Technology and Manufacturing,
Health Administration and Partnering Careers, and Medical Sales.
Applications accepted in Grades: 9, 10 and 11
Engineering Program
The Engineering Program at Coon Rapids High School is designed
for students who want an integrated and rigorous in-depth math,
science, and engineering focus. The Project Lead The Way courses
will provide unique hands-on experiences for students with a strong
interest in these areas. The curriculum is designed as a pre-
engineering program to prepare students for post-secondary
engineering programs and engineering careers.
