There is also extensive information on the bobcats now on Kiawah at the Town of
Kiawah Island website: www.wildlifeatkiawah.com/bobcats.html. At the end of 2013
there were approximately 30 bobcats on the island. (This is more than double the
typical density in mainland South Carolina.) Six of these have GPS collars that are
reporting their position (which can be observed on the website above). (Three others were captured but not collared as they were too small to wear a GPS collar.
