MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR, BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The mental and physical health of our families and friends is very important to the
Directors of the Health Foundation Board and that is why we take such an active part
in helping to create the best possible health outcomes for everyone in our region.
Our meetings are filled with governance duties to strengthen the ‘foundation’ of the
foundation and ensure that your donated dollars are getting to the projects, health
programs, and technology that are required in the region.
The Board believes in accountability, respect for diversity, and transparency. We have
trust in our staff team to work at the highest level and operate with due diligence. This
year marks the Health Foundation’s 5 th year of certification under the Imagine Canada
standard for governance, oversight and fiscal responsibility and we take that certification
seriously.
But, we also have a lot of fun in support of the Health Foundation! We are donors,
sponsors, volunteers, and event attendees. We love to see you at events and cheque
presentations and grand openings and ask that you stay engaged as we bring the
Gratitude Campaign to completion.
