Supporter Highlights SUPPORTER HIGHLIGHTS As always Melbourne Festival partnered with key government and corporate organisations in 2015. Without these partnerships, the Festival would simply not be possible. In particular the State Government of Victoria’s investment through Creative Victoria as Melbourne Festival’s Principal Public Partner and Tourism Victoria, enabling Melbourne Festival to continue to thrive into its 30th year. City of Melbourne supported the free programming including the beautiful and culturally vital opening ceremony, TANDERRUM. For the third year, China Southern Airlines presented The Annual China Southern Airlines Concert in the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with the incredibly popular collaboration between DJ duo Flight Facilities and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra playing to over 12,000 fans. Following the outstanding ticket sales, Fed Square partnered with Melbourne Festival to present a free live stream of the concert for those that missed out on tickets to the sold-out gig. As the Naming Rights Partner to the most popular Festival destination, Foxtel enables Melbourne Festival to once again provide a home for Festival audiences to relax, catch a gig, enjoy a meal or dance the night away with the Foxtel Festival Hub. 14 UnionPay International joined Melbourne Festival for the first time as Official Payment Partner, supporting three productions representing the very best of dance, theatre and contemporary music. The Melbourne Art Trams project was a fantastic example of what collaboration between creative, government and corporate organisations can achieve with the third year of partnership between Melbourne Festival, Creative Victoria and Yarra Trams. KIRIN Beer and Cider returned with KIRIN Bit.Fall at the Foxtel Festival Hub, a captivating water installation delivering messages via Twitter and SMS. Guests were offered a chance to sample KIRIN Beer and Cider, paired with free canapes from Sake Restaurant. Mojo Winemakers also continued their partnership with the Foxtel Festival Hub venue and invited audiences to sample their range whilst sparking imagination through the Colour My Mojo activation. Catalina Sounds was the generous supplier of wines to all special events allowing guest to enjoy some of New Zealand’s finest.
