Sincetheselightshadtobeanimated, andtherewasnowaytooseetheintensityof thelightintheviewportwithoutrenderingthewholesequence, Icreatedadisk geometrythatwouldchangeitssizewiththechangingofthelightintensity, soIcould seewherethelightwouldiluminatetheskinofthecongaswhileanimating. InitialyI alsoaddedacontrolthatalowedthetopofthecongato“ bounce” butIendedupnot usingthiscontrolbecauseanimatingitwastakingtoomuchtimeandtheresult wasn’ tveryvisible. Ialso created custom atributes in the trumpetlinked to each key’ s vertical movement, andoneatributeforthesizeoftheendofthetrumpet, fora“ cartoony” efect.

Riggingthemicrophonecouldhavebeenconsideredawasteoftime, butsinceithad torotateandmovearoundandthebaseofthepolewaswide, Ihadtocreate somethingthatalowedthebasetotouchthegroundinthecorectspotwhen rotatingthepole, withoutspendingtoomuchtimeanimatingitframebyframe. By spendingabitoftimeriggingitIwasabletoanimateitfasterandhavethe microphonealwaystouchingthegroundinthecorectspot. Theguitarwasthemostintenseone, because, foreachstring, Ihadanatributeto controltheamplitudeofthe“ wave” movementand, bymovingthecontrol, thepart afectedwouldincreaseordecreasedependingonitsposition. Duringtheanimation process, Ijusthadtomatchthepositionofthiscontroltowherethefingerwas pressingthestring, andanimatetheamplitudetowhenthestringwasplayed.
