In 2020 , the Research Group on Exclusion and Social Control of the University of Barcelona produced a report within the framework of a project funded by the European Observatory on Memories ( EUROM ) about the origin of the MUEC ’ s Moroccan collections . This report was pioneering in Spain as it raised for the first time doubts about the origin and legitimacy of these pieces . The report was presented at the “ repairing the past ” conference held in October 2022 at the MUEC .
