MESSAGE FROM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
We open RAW Moves ’ 2017 season under the overarching theme of “ CLUTTER ”, with Indices of Vanishment , by theatre director Edith Podesta .
In this work , Edith examines the diverse relationships between people and objects to unveil the psychological connection one builds around their daily lives . Similar to what multitasking does to our brain ; will such psychological hoarding deepen one ’ s associations with their surrounding ? Or will it create adverse effects like impairing one ’ s ability to rationalise clearly ?
Indices of Vanishment extends beyond the reminiscing events to question the intricate weaving of this ‘ collecting habit ’ through the fabricated world we live in . This work evokes a manifestation of what “ CLUTTER ” conjures within each one of us .
